CORE 1: TO UPHOLD UPSI AS THE CENTER OF EDUCATION EXCELLANCE

 

Objective 2: UPSI as a reference centre which is related with the teachers’ education.

 

Strategy:

i.                To objectify the agenda of the “Sekolah Makmal” using UPSI guidance.

ii.              To increase the quality and the expertise of the lecturers in education.

iii.             To increase the research and assessment in the high impact education field.

iv.             Showing the element of innovation in teaching.

v.               To increase the number of scientific publication amongst academia. 

 

KPI Criteria measured:

1. The number of academics appointed as the Adjunct Professor / Visitor.

2. The number of education based research.

3. The number of scientific publications.

 

 

 

CORE 3: TO SORE IN EXCELLANCE IN RESEARCH, PUBLICATIONS, NEGOTIATION AND COMMERCIALIZATION


Objective 1: To produce a role model who are productive, creative and innovative

 

Strategy:

i.                Giving attention to the research which gives the impact to the local community.

ii.              To produce research with quality and high impact which can be the reference to the maker/policymakers.

iii.             To increase the total of research fund from outside grant.

iv.             To increase the total of journal article publication in the indexed journal.

v.               To increase the total of academics who became the main researcher.

vi.             To create a research collaboration with RU, overseas university and industry.

vii.            To establish a clinical research in the faculty level.

viii.          To create a research eco-system which is conducive with the field. 

ix.             To increase the total of research mode graduate students.

x.               To encourage the indexed article writing among graduate students.

xi.             To increase the total of gold medal during research competition.

xii.            To encourage staff to be involve/register with outside association. 

 

KPI Criteria measured:

1. The proportion of the academics with the total of writing in the indexed journal.

2. The total of research fund from outside grant.

3. The number of PhD student.

4. The number of academics who became the main researcher.

5. The total of gold medal won from the research findings. 


Objective 2: To prepare a steady support system.

 

Strategy: 

i.                Bringing in the expert (renowned professor).

ii.              Organized a workshop regularly.

iii.             Giving incentive to the result of the high impact journal writing.

iv.             The formation of research group focusing on the research eco-system (Mentoring System)

 

KPI criteria measured:

1. The number of SIG research established.

 


Objective 3: Increasing the commercializing

 

Strategy:

i.                To increase the cooperation with the industry.

ii.              Doing promotions through the university’s official website.

iii.             Preparing facilities to produce a spin off company.

iv.             Implementing the policy of 1 Faculty 1 Product.

 

KPI criteria measured:

1. The number of commercialized product.

2. Value (RM) obtained through the commercializing activity.

3. The total number of product produced.
