BACHELOR OF ACCOUNTANCY WITH HONOURS (AE02)
The Bachelor of Accountancy with Honours program offered by the Department of Accounting and Finance, Faculty of Management and Economics, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris was offered in Semester 2 2013/2014 and was accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) in February 2018.
It is open to candidates from Arts or Science streams at the STPM, Matriculation, Diploma or equivalent level. Candidates who apply for the Bachelor of Accountancy with Honors program are subject to the University’s General Requirements and Program Requirements. Intake for this program is only once a year. Meanwhile, the mode of study is conventional full-time.
This program was developed with the aim of preparing prospective graduates/accountants who have fundamental and technical knowledge in the field of Accounting, have competence in digital skills that are constantly changing, display a professional attitude when interacting with the public and are civilized and have a good conscience (moral ).
This program has been recognized by several professional bodies such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) and currently in the process of obtaining recognition from the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) ). Curriculum review is carried out periodically to ensure that the program structure is always relevant to current developments and meets the requirements of MQA and professional bodies.
The latest curriculum structure that is applicable beginning Intake Semester 1 2023/2024 (A231) is designed to ensure that graduates of the Bachelor of Accountancy with Honours have a competitive advantage with the use of technology but still maintain cultured and accountable characteristics. The structure of the A231 intake curriculum consists of seven (7) semesters, including Industrial Training with a total of 126 credit hours as follows:
