I am interested in studying at the Faculty of Management and Economics (FME). How to apply for a degree program at the faculty?

What action will be taken if there is no examination due to clumsiness of reading the exam schedule?

Students who are absent from the examination due to a mistake in the examination schedule or their own negligence are not allowed to take any alternate examination and are deemed to have failed the course. However, if any other tests have been conducted before the examination, then the grades for the tests will be held back.

 

When do the results of the examination be announced?

The University may announce the results of the examination after the University Examination Committee meets and subject to the Senate verification.

 

What are the cases allowed to take the Replacement Exam?

The University may allow alternate Examinations for the following cases:

  1. Students who have health problems and have been certified by the Government Doctor or University Medical Officer that the student is not mentally and physically disabled.
  2. Death of a parent or any close family member.

iii. Joined activities assigned by the University.

  1. Natural disasters such as floods or fires

If there is a case, when is the time to apply for the Replacement Exam?

Students must apply at the Faculty to sit for the Replacement Exam within two weeks after the end of the examination week

Does the Faculty / UPSI provide Scholarship or other sponsorship facilities?

For information, the Faculty / UPSI does not provide any scholarships or sponsorships to students.

Tuition Fees/ Yuran Pengajian Pelajar

 

What are the methods for paying tuition fees?

Payment of tuition fees can be made through: –

  1. at all branches of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB) throughout Malaysia.
  2. Automatic Teller Machine (ATM)

iii. through BIMB Internet Banking.

  1. through a draft / check bank in the name of “Treasurer of the Sultan Idris University of Education” and post it to the Student and College Financial Unit, Treasurer / Faculty Department or via hand over to the Executive Program coordinator (for the FPE Executive Program only). Cash transfers are not allowed.
  2. via credit / debit card at the Student and the College Financial Unit.

When can the semester fee last payment to be done?

Payment of tuition fees must be made before the final examination of each semester. The examination results for the semester and the registration for the next semester will be held if the student has arrears in the last semester fee (excluding new semester fees).

 

What is the effect on students if they failed to pay tuition fees?

Students can be detained from graduating including transcripts and student scrolls will be blocked.

 

How can a student get a Student Registration Verification Letter for EPF withdrawal application?

Students can come or contact the Student & College Financial Unit, UPSI Treasurer’s Department to obtain the letter of confirmation

 

GRADUATE STUDIES (EXECUTIVE)/ PENGAJIAN SISWAZAH EKSEKUTIF

EXECUTIVE PROGRAM OF MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA)

  1. What are the program structures offered for the Master of Business Administration Executive (MBA) Program?

The MBA program offers 42 credit hours comprising Core Course components, Specialized Courses, Elective Courses and Project Papers. The Core Course contains 15 credit hours, the Special Course contains 15 credit hours, the Elective Course contains 6 credit hours and 6 credit hours for project paper.

 

  1. How long is the duration of this program?

The program is conducted on a full-time basis with a duration of 1 ½ years to 2 years (4 semesters).

  1. How much is the fee for this program?

Total fees for the program are RM 20,000.00. The amount of the fee payment is as follows:

  1. Semester 1: RM 5,000.00 [RM 250.00 (registration fee)]
  2. Semester 2: RM 5,000.00

Lectures will be held at the Cooperative College of Malaysia (MKM), IEM Building, Jalan Selangor, Petaling Jaya, and also will be held on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

 

EDUCATION MANAGEMENT EXECUTIVE PROGRAM (EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT) / PROGRAM EKSEKUTIF SARJANA PENDIDIKAN (PENGURUSAN PENDIDIKAN)

 

  1. What are the structures of the program?

The program offers 42 credit hours comprised of Compulsory Course components, Education Courses, Specialized Courses, Elective Courses and Project Papers. The Compulsory Course contains 8 credit hours, the Education Course contains 12 credit hours, the Specialized Course contains 12 credit hours, the Elective Course contains 4 credit hours and 6 hours credit project paper.

The program is conducted on a full-time basis with a duration of 1 ½ years to 2 years (4 semesters).
